Arriving in Helsinki
By air
The flight connections to Helsinki are very good. Please contact the
airlines or a travel agency for closer details and flight reservations.
Getting to the railway station in the city centre from Helsinki-Vantaa
airport by bus will cost approx. 5 EUR. A Taxi will charge about 30 EUR for
the same distance and it will take about 30 minutes. You can also take a
group taxi from the airport (Yellow Line, 1-2 people approx. 22 EUR, 3-4
people approx. 28 EUR).
By
ship
Coming from Stockholm by ship you can arrive in Helsinki in the morning (Tallink
Silja 9:55 a.m. and Viking Line 10 a.m.).
Public Transportation
The public transportation system in Helsinki is very convenient, offering
busses and local trains as well as tram and subway lines. Information about
transportation will be given on site and at your hotel.
The easiest way to reach the Helsinki Fair Centre from the city centre is by
local train. In connection with registrating at the congress centre all
congress participants and accompanying persons will get at three-day tourist
ticket that can be used in any means of public transportation in Helsinki.
